What are the dangers of sweeteners

Reasonable use of sweeteners is not harmful, but if consumed in excess over a long period of time, it may lead to obesity and other problems. Sweetener in our country and the world are allowed to add sweeteners in food, is a common sugar substitute. The sweetness is 30-80 times that of sucrose, and the sweetness is pure, natural, without odor, and is usually contained in many candied fruits, cookies, cakes and beverages. Many large-scale randomized controlled trials and studies have shown that moderate consumption of sweeteners does not affect health, and there is no scientific support for the carcinogenicity of sweeteners. The World Health Organization as well as our Food and Drug Administration recognize the safety of sweeteners. Although sweetener, like xylitol, is a sweet substitute with far fewer calories than sucrose, glucose and fructose, excessive consumption over a long period of time may result in the accumulation of fat in the human body and produce the phenomenon of obesity. Therefore, the reasonable use of sweeteners is generally not harmful to health.
