The efficacy of midazolam injection

Midazolam Injection has sedative, hypnotic, anticonvulsant, anxiolytic, and muscle relaxant effects, and can be used, among other things, to induce sleep before surgical procedures and diagnostic tests. Midazolam Injection is a benzodiazepine with a relatively short duration of action, which enhances pre- and postsynaptic inhibition through benzodiazepine receptors adjacent to GABA at the synapse. It is mainly used for pre-anesthesia administration; induction and maintenance of general anesthesia; intrathecal anesthesia and local anesthesia as an adjunctive drug. It is contraindicated in persons with hypersensitivity to benzodiazepines, persons with myasthenia gravis, patients with schizophrenia, and patients with severe depressive states. Common adverse reactions include headache, drowsiness, dizziness, nausea, and eructation. Midazolam injection is a class II psychotropic drug and needs to be used in strict accordance with medical advice.
