Acute cervicitis occurs in puerperal infections or infected abortions. Trichomonas vaginalis, mycobacterial and gonorrhea infections also often occur together with acute cervicitis. The most common symptom of acute cervicitis is increased, sometimes unique, leucorrhea, which is often purulent. Cervicitis often coexists with urethritis, cystitis or acute vaginitis, acute endometritis, etc., so some other symptoms of cervicitis are masked, such as lower abdominal and lumbosacral cramps and bladder irritation symptoms. The diagnosis mainly relies on: specific clinical symptoms – increased leucorrhea, gynecological examination, cervical secretions for smear or culture, etc. Treatment measures: 1. Local or systemic (in severe cases) application of sulfonamides and antibiotics to control infection. Since it often coexists with acute endometritis (puerperal infection) and peculiar vaginitis, its treatment principle should first be treated according to the main disease. 2. Local medication, administered locally according to pathogenesis and drug sensitivity test.
