1. Discomfort in the throat (1) Foreign body sensation in the throat. It can be caused by the cold and other triggers, and the feeling still exists after the cold is cured. (2) Pain in the throat. At the time of initial diagnosis, 65% of patients have this symptom. It starts with vague pain and discomfort with a burning sensation, which gradually affects eating and can radiate to the ear in severe cases. (3) Swelling in the pharynx. In the early stage, patients are found to have enlarged exoplasm in the tonsillar region, with local hardening and enlargement, or small surface ulcers. In the advanced stage, symptoms such as dysphagia, dyspnea, and bleeding in the throat can occur. (4) Enlarged upper cervical lymph nodes. It accounts for 54%~85%. Sometimes small lesions in the tonsillar fossa go undetected, and metastasis to the upper cervical lymph nodes may occur. 2. Enlarged tonsils on one side The tonsils on one side are obviously enlarged, nodular or cauliflower-shaped, or with ulcers, necrosis and pseudomembranes on the surface. The tumor develops rapidly and often invades the surrounding tissues, resulting in swallowing and breathing disorders. 3. Cervical lymph node metastasis Early cervical lymph node metastasis is commonly used, with ipsilateral or bilateral cervical lymph enlargement, hardness, fixation and carcinoma.
