Spinal cord shock is the lightest form of spinal cord injury, which refers to the transient inhibition of conduction and reflex function after spinal cord injury, and is a reversible physiological disorder with no visible changes under the naked eye and microscope. Treatment is mainly conservative, and is divided into the following two categories: 1. If there is no external compression of the spinal cord, no vertebral fracture and unstable patients, this type of patients should be treated non-operatively and under observation, if the spinal cord function deteriorates, a hard cervical brace and 4.5kg traction can be given prophylactically, and all patients should be placed on a treatment bed and exercise therapy should begin. 2. Patients without spinal cord compression but with spinal instability should be immobilized on a treatment bed, non-surgical treatment and observation should be started, and spinal fusion surgery should be performed when the symptoms are stabilized.
