It can be used for treating dry lung and cough, cough due to deficiency of Yin, paralysis of the throat (redness, swelling and pain in the throat, or dryness, foreign body sensation, or itchy throat, difficulty in swallowing), sore throat, thirst due to injury of fluids, thirst due to internal heat (fever accompanied by symptoms such as overeating, excessive drinking, excessive urination, etc.), heartburn and insomnia, and constipation due to dryness of the intestines.
