Sleeping in the wrong position will not lead to scoliosis. Scoliosis can be categorized into congenital scoliosis, idiopathic scoliosis and degenerative scoliosis according to the cause of the disease. The causes of scoliosis are varied, and the specific pathogenesis is not completely clear. It is related to the patient’s age, neuromuscular function, bone development, trauma and genetic factors. It is usually thought to be caused by a combination of systemic or local factors, and has no absolute relationship with sleeping position. Incorrect sleeping posture can alter the normal curvature of the spine, causing excessive compression of the small joints at the back of the spine and pulling on the soft tissues in front. Poor sleeping posture will cause most of the weight to fall on the ribs and internal organs, thus affecting breathing. Many people wake up feeling dizzy, backache and fatigue, mainly due to improper sleeping posture. Chinese medicine believes that the correct sleeping posture should be to the right side of the bed, slightly curved legs, but for healthy people, do not have to be overly constrained by their own sleep position, because overnight people often can not maintain a fixed position to sleep until dawn, the vast majority of people in the constant change of sleeping position, which is more conducive to lifting the fatigue.
