Coix Seed and Poria both have the effect of eliminating dampness, it is recommended to use the drug under the guidance of a doctor.
1. Job’s tears: the dried mature seed kernel of the plant Job’s tears, family gramineae. Taste sweet, light, cool; to the spleen, stomach, lung meridian. It has the efficacy of inducing diuresis (promoting the flow of water to dispel dampness), strengthening the spleen, stopping diarrhea, draining pus, removing paralysis, detoxifying and dispersing knots, and can be used for oedema, dysuria, diarrhea of spleen deficiency, convulsions, dampness paralysis, warts (sarcoma growing on the skin), and cancerous tumors.
2. Poria: taste the dried fungus Poria cocos, taste sweet, light, flat; to the heart, lung, spleen, kidney meridian. It has the effect of strengthening the spleen, promoting water seepage and dampness, tranquilizing the mind and tranquilizing the spirit, and is used for spleen deficiency with little food, loose stools (feces thin and unshaped) and diarrhea, edema and urine, phlegm-drinking vertigo and palpitations (due to phlegm-drinking evil caused by dizziness and palpitations), palpitations and insomnia, and restlessness of the heart and mind.
