Is gastric calcification cancer?

Gastric calcification is not cancer.
Calcification is generally caused by the deposition of calcium salts in the tissues and organs of the body, which often occurs in the process of chronic strain, chronic inflammation, fracture repair, aging of the body, etc. It can occur in different tissues and organs, such as the lungs, thyroid gland, breast, stomach, fracture sites, etc.
Gastric calcification is the deposition of calcium salts in the stomach due to various factors (e.g. chronic gastritis, gastric ulcer, Helicobacter pylori infection in the stomach, etc.), and it is not cancer caused by malignant changes of the stomach cells themselves. Gastric calcification belongs to the benign lesions, and it doesn’t have the characteristics of malignant tumors, such as unlimited proliferation, recurrence and metastasis.
Therefore, gastric calcification is not cancer, and gastric calcification can cause abdominal distension, indigestion and other symptoms when it is serious, so it is recommended that the relevant patients be diagnosed and treated under the guidance of doctors.
