The bulging of the baby’s upper gums may be related to gingivitis, hand-foot-mouth disease, periodontal abscess and other causes.
1. Gingivitis: plaque and other causes lead to inflammation of the gum tissue, may appear on the upper gum swelling, pain and other symptoms.
2. Hand, foot and mouth disease: a disease caused by enterovirus and other infections, manifested by the appearance of herpes in the hands, feet, mouth, etc., may appear upper gum bulging phenomenon.
3. Periodontal abscess: limited suppurative inflammation in the periodontal pockets or deep periodontal connective tissues, which may appear as a bulge in the upper gum area.
