The difference between cardiac pain relief and nitroglycerin

Both cardiac pain and nitroglycerin tablets are nitrate drugs, both of which are short-acting preparations, with the main difference being that cardiac pain lasts slightly longer than nitroglycerin tablets. For patients with coronary heart disease and acute myocardial ischemia, they can be treated with nitrate drugs, but they need to pay attention to monitoring blood pressure and heart rate. When there is hypotension and other conditions, the application of nitrate drugs needs to be cautious, and Chinese medicines, such as quick-acting heart pills and compound salvia drops, can be used sublingually. Patients with coronary artery disease can take sublingual cardiac pain or nitroglycerin tablets if their blood pressure is tolerable. If the symptoms can be relieved in 3-5 minutes, the condition will be further observed. If symptoms cannot be relieved, systematic related treatment in hospital is required, including interventional treatment in internal medicine and surgical treatment of emergency coronary artery bypass grafting.
