How to treat moderate colon tumors

Moderate colon tumors are mainly treated by surgery, supplemented by chemotherapy. 1. The treatment of colon tumor generally emphasizes on surgical resection firstly, which is usually radical surgical treatment. Surgical methods are different according to the different parts of the tumor, if the tumor is in the ascending colon and hepatic flexure part of the cecum, right hemicolectomy is needed; if the tumor is in the descending colon, colon and splenic flexure part, left hemicolectomy can be performed. If the tumor is in the transverse colon, transverse colectomy can be performed. 2. After surgical resection of colon tumor, chemotherapy is needed, according to the staging of patients and their own physical condition, after surgery, systemic intravenous chemotherapy is usually needed to assist the patients.
