What are the causes of hypertension in pregnancy

Gestational hypertension is mainly due to endocrine disorders in women’s bodies during pregnancy that lead to an increase in hormone levels in the body, thus causing an increase in blood pressure. For example, elevated estrogen levels cause an increase in norepinephrine in the body, and elevated norepinephrine causes the blood vessels to be in a constant state of tension, thus increasing blood pressure. Gestational hypertension will recover slowly after the birth of a child, but the recovery time varies from person to person. Some people may have chronic hypertension due to long-term hypertension, which may need to be controlled with medication. Some women’s blood pressure will slowly decrease or be slightly higher after having a baby, and through dietary control and lifestyle changes, blood pressure will slowly decrease to a satisfactory level.
