Interventional embolization chemotherapy for hepatocellular carcinoma, i.e. hepatic artery embolization therapy, commonly used chemotherapeutic agents include cisplatin, epirubicin, mitomycin and so on.
The embolic agents for hepatic artery embolization therapy are mainly iodine oil and absorbent gelatin sponge, while the chemotherapeutic drugs are commonly used, such as cisplatin, adriamycin, epirubicin, pirenzolibicin, mitomycin, 5-fluorouracil, and so on. In order to improve the efficacy of hepatic artery embolization therapy, some researchers adopt the combined application of angiotensin II and chemotherapy microspheres, which can increase the drug concentration in the tumor by 2.8 times.
Any liver cancer that cannot be surgically resected can be treated with hepatic artery embolization. Adverse reactions of chemotherapeutic drugs include mild gastrointestinal reaction, leukopenia, hair loss, fatigue, etc. Other common adverse reactions include fever, abdominal pain, jaundice, abdominal fluid accumulation, etc.
Patients with liver cancer should not use drugs on their own, and should be treated under the guidance of doctors.
