Ovarian cyst torsion is characterized by sudden onset of severe abdominal pain on one side with nausea, vomiting and shock. The patient has a previous history of ovarian cysts, and gynecologic examination reveals palpable uterine body pressure, adnexal masses, and pressure pain at the horn of the uterus. Once diagnosed, ovarian cyst torsion should be operated as soon as possible. If the patient has a 4-12 cm diameter ovarian cyst with about 360 degrees of torsion and no ischemia or necrosis, conservative treatment can be taken. If the symptoms are aggravated by aggressive surgical treatment.
