A 3-month-old baby who doesn’t urinate for a night may have physiological reasons or may be affected by pathological factors such as abnormal kidney function and dehydration. If it is a male baby, the presence of a prepuce may also cause urinary retention.
1. Physiological factors: the baby’s own metabolism is more vigorous, the body’s water metabolism is also more active, sometimes sweating more, if the baby drinks less water and milk during this period of time, it may also cause the situation of no urination.
2. Pathologic factors:
(1) Abnormal renal function: such as glomerular filtration membrane damage, renal failure and so on will lead to a rapid rise in creatinine, the glomerulus in a short time to lose the function of discharging water, there is a situation of no urination.
(3) Dehydration: when infants are dehydrated or lack of water, there will also be no urination. Due to tissue gap, urine is concentrated, body fluids are concentrated, and body fluids are lacking water, so there will be no urination.
It should be noted that if an infant does not urinate at night for a long period of time, the child should be taken to the hospital in time for examination, to clarify the cause of the disease and to treat the cause.
