What should I do if I’m bleeding from the inside of my ear but it doesn’t hurt?

Bleeding inside the ear without pain may be related to ruptured hemangioma of the external auditory canal, ceruminous adenocarcinoma, middle ear cancer and other diseases, and the diagnosis and treatment plan should be formulated after completing the relevant examination.
1. Rupture of hemangioma of external auditory canal: this disease is most common in the auricle and often extends to the skin around the ear or the skin of external auditory canal. There are more capillary hemangiomas and cavernous hemangiomas, which are benign tumors. Surgical excision, laser, freezing, injection of sclerosing agent and other methods can be used for treatment.
2. Ceruminous adenocarcinoma: This disease mainly manifests as painless bleeding from the external auditory canal or easy bleeding from digging. The swelling of external auditory canal is usually red granulation with rough and uneven surface. Treatment is mainly based on surgical excision, supplemented by radiotherapy.
3. Middle ear cancer: This disease can be originated from middle ear, external ear canal or auricle, and squamous cell carcinoma is the most common. The earliest and most common symptom is intra-auricular hemorrhage or bloody ear leakage. Early and complete surgical resection should be pursued, with postoperative adjuvant radiotherapy.
When bleeding inside the ear is found but without pain, it is necessary to actively seek medical treatment, and after systematic examination to clarify the diagnosis, follow the doctor’s instructions to standardize the treatment.
