Cervical spondylosis relief

Cervical spondylosis generally requires different ways of relief according to the severity of the patient’s condition, including improvement of living habits, physical therapy, medication, and surgery.
1. Improvement of living habits: avoid playing cell phone or working with head down for a long time, correct the wrong sitting posture, choose the right pillow, and do some neck exercises in your free time to relax your shoulders and neck.
2. Physical therapy: Physical therapy such as massage, hot compresses and acupuncture can be used to alleviate symptoms, but it should be noted that massage and acupressure are strictly prohibited in spinal cord cervical spondylosis.
3. Medication: In case of severe pain, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs such as ibuprofen and celecoxib can be used to reduce the inflammatory reaction of the soft tissues and relieve the pain. If there are symptoms of compression of the nerves, nutritive drugs such as methylcobalamin and vitamin B6 can be used.
4. Surgery: If the above treatments are ineffective or there are serious comorbidities, surgery can be performed to relieve nerve or spinal cord compression and relieve symptoms.
Patients with cervical spondylosis should take appropriate treatment measures after comprehensive evaluation by a professional doctor, and avoid blindly using drugs on their own.
