The most common cause of hymen rupture is caused by sexual intercourse, as the rupture of the hymen edge can be directly caused during sexual intercourse to cause pain and a small amount of vaginal bleeding after the first intercourse. It is not sexual intercourse that causes hymen rupture, but rather other accidents, such as bicycle riding, which can lead to a rupture of the hymen due to a straddling injury to the pubic area. For women whose hymen rupture is not particularly serious, there is no need to do any treatment and they should try to take rest. In serious cases of hymen rupture and bleeding caused by straddling injuries, debridement and suturing are required to stop the bleeding.
