The efficacy of Choleston Capsule is to clear heat and relieve dampness (removing heat and dampness from the body), and to relieve gallbladder and remove stones. It is used for the symptoms of dystocia (pain in the area of the ribs) and biliary distension caused by damp-heat in the liver and gallbladder (the accumulation of damp-heat in the liver and gallbladder), such as distension and pain in the right hypochondrium, platoon (stomach distension), vomiting and nausea, and yellow urine and bitter mouth; and cholelithiasis and cholecystitis when the above symptoms are seen. Choleston Capsule is composed of Mian Yin Chen, Guang Jin Qian Cao, Rhubarb, Scutellaria Baicalensis and so on. It is used for dystocia and gallbladder distension caused by damp-heat in liver and gallbladder, which is characterized by distension and pain in the right hypochondrium, fullness and vomiting, yellow urine and bitter taste in the mouth; cholelithiasis and cholecystitis with the above symptoms. It should be noted that after clinical use, due to the effect of diarrhea, patients may have loose stools or increased frequency of diarrhea, or even back pain, fatigue, dry mouth, and in severe cases, dehydration may occur.
