Incontinence after drunkenness is caused by neurological abnormalities, and there are two main reasons for this condition, namely, the weakening of simple neural inhibition and stroke. 1. Weakening of simple neural inhibition: after drunkenness, the cerebral cortex’s control of bladder and rectal function is weakened, and the anal and urethral sphincters contract autonomously, leading to transient incontinence, which can be recovered by oneself after sobriety. 2. Stroke: some people may suffer from acute cerebrovascular disease (cerebral infarction, cerebral hemorrhage, etc.) after drunkenness, which may affect the urinary and fecal function and incontinence if it occurs in the paracentral lobule. If incontinence occurs after drunkenness, it is recommended to consult a doctor for observation in time to avoid delaying the condition.
