What’s wrong with standing up and getting dizzy?

Standing up dizziness is mostly seen in postural hypotension. In normal people, blood is pooled in the lower extremities when squatting, and in the process of standing up, blood returns from the lower extremities to the heart through the action of muscle pump and the action of venous return, and then the heart provides blood to the brain, but in the whole process, some patients have low blood pressure or relatively poor blood pressure regulation, and the action of muscle pump is relatively weak. In the process of standing up, the blood returns to the heart from the stagnant lower extremities at a slower rate, and the amount of blood returned to the heart is relatively insufficient, resulting in a relative shortage of blood ejected to supply the brain. Insufficient blood supply to the brain mainly manifests as dizziness, faintness, and in severe cases, blackness in front of the eyes and transient impairment of consciousness. Secondly, it is related to otolithiasis, which is a disease of otolaryngology, and is caused by the imbalance of the semicircular canal, so it causes dizziness and vomiting. Thirdly, it is also related to cervical spondylosis, which causes nerve irritation or insufficient blood supply after activity, and also causes dizziness and vomiting, so it needs to be checked and treated.
