Can you get cancer with a low lymphocyte percentage?

Low lymphocyte percentage is not necessarily related to cancer.
Lymphocytes are a common indicator of white blood cell count in routine blood tests. Lymphocytes are a type of white blood cells, which include neutrophils, monocytes, eosinophils and basophils.
If the percentage of lymphocytes is low, it is necessary to determine whether it is a low ratio or an absolute value. If the absolute value of lymphocyte count is normal, there is no need to worry too much. In addition, when a patient has an infection, inflammation, or medication, the neutrophil count may be elevated and the lymphocyte percentage lowered accordingly.
Although a low lymphocyte percentage is not necessarily related to cancer, it is often indicative of inflammation or infection, and requires timely medical attention.
