Can malignant giant cell tumor of bone be cured?

Giant cell tumor of bone has a chance to be completely cured. Giant cell tumor of bone belongs to junctional tumor, that is, the tumor may be benign or malignant, after the discovery of giant cell tumor of bone, we should improve the imaging examination in time, so as to determine the degree of malignancy and the extent of the tumor with the patient’s condition, and the treatment usually consists of local resection of the tumor, bone grafting according to the resection location and size, and routine postoperative pathological examination of the tumor histology and immunohistochemistry. If the postoperative pathological results are benign, regular follow-up is sufficient; if malignant, local radiotherapy or chemotherapy is needed to reduce postoperative recurrence. Regular follow-ups should be conducted as prescribed by the doctor, and if the tumor recurs, it will be difficult for the patient to be completely cured.
