How to treat aortic arch ulcers

In case of aortic arch ulcers, blood pressure and heart rate should be controlled to avoid serious conditions such as aortic coarctation due to increased blood pressure or increased heart rate, and anti-platelet drugs such as aspirin or lipid-lowering drugs such as Rosuvastatin should be applied to improve the patient’s prognosis and prevent peripheral plaque. Patients with aortic arch ulcers must pay attention to proper rest and not overly strenuous activities in their daily life, and must monitor their blood pressure regularly to avoid excessive increase of blood pressure. If the ulcer is due to aortitis or severe aortic atherosclerosis, medication must be selected according to the specific symptoms and, if necessary, stenting of the aortic arch should be applied for treatment if clamping is present.
