Is it true that there is a native way to recover from facial paralysis

There is no so-called “magic solution” for facial paralysis recovery. Facial paralysis patients need to undergo professional rehabilitation training and medication to improve their symptoms.

1. General treatment: Facial paralysis patients can massage the muscles of facial paralysis in front of a mirror under the guidance of a doctor for a few minutes each time. As the nerve function gradually recovers, the patient can then practice random movements of the facial muscles, such as lifting the eyebrows, puffing out the cheeks and showing the teeth.

2. Medication: Patients can choose glucocorticosteroids, such as budesonide; antiviral drugs, such as vasiclovir; and vitamin drugs, such as vitamin B1 and vitamin B12 to control inflammation, nourish the nerves, and promote the recovery of facial paralysis symptoms.

Physical therapy such as infrared rays and ultrashort wave can also be used. Surgery can be used for patients who do not recover after a long period of time. Patients with facial paralysis caused by primary disease such as cerebral infarction or cerebral hemorrhage should also actively control the primary disease.

There is no such thing as a so-called “local remedy” for facial palsy, and patients should not blindly listen to folk rumors and treat themselves at home, as this will cause delays in their condition. Patients with facial paralysis need to go to the hospital in a timely manner.
