Can Astragalus be taken orally?

Astragalus can be taken orally. Clinically, it is commonly taken as a decoction, or in pills or powder. Astragalus has the effects of tonifying qi and elevating yang, consolidating the surface to stop sweating (stopping sweating by consolidating the muscle surface), inducing diuresis to reduce swelling, generating fluids to nourish blood, promoting stagnation to clear paralysis (making paralyzed meridians smooth), supporting toxins to excrete pus (discharging pus and toxins from the body), and astringing sores to regenerate the muscle (helping sores to heal more quickly and promoting the growth of new flesh).
Astragalus is clinically used for qi deficiency and weakness, loose stools (thin and unformed feces), Qi subsidence (deficiency of the spleen and stomach qi, with the appearance of internal organs falling down), prolonged diarrhea and prolapse of the anus, blood in the stool and leakage of blood (excessive menstrual flow or drips and drops), sweating due to deficiency of the surface (due to the weakness of the surface of the body and the frequent sweating), qi deficiency, edema, and internal heat and thirst (internal fever accompanied by symptoms of overeating and excessive urination), and so on.
It should be noted that it should not be taken by those with solid symptoms and yin deficiency and Yang deficiency. Drugs should be taken under the guidance of a physician, do not self-medication, to avoid causing adverse consequences.
