How to use metronidazole gel with 15% azelaic acid



Metronidazole gel and 15% azelaic acid can be used in conjunction with, such as morning and evening separate topical application or, but not recommended to mix at the same time, the specific use of the need to go to the hospital, under the guidance of the doctor to apply.

Metronidazole gel is mainly used for the local treatment of inflammatory papules, impetigo, rosacea erythema, bacterial vaginosis and so on. Azelaic acid is used for the topical treatment of mild and moderate inflammatory acne vulgaris. Combined use of the two is mostly seen in the treatment of rosacea, rosacea and other diseases.

The method of use is usually first wash the affected area with warm water to open the pores, then clean hands or take a clean cotton swab, take a small amount of metronidazole gel, gently apply to the affected area, and with massage. Wait 30 minutes, the drug is basically absorbed after cleaning the affected area. Next, use azelaic acid gel.

Both may cause itching, burning, stinging sensation and other symptoms of adverse reactions, so it is not recommended to mix the two. If the local skin becomes red, swollen and stinging, use should be suspended. In the process of using the drug should avoid the drug contact with the eyelid mucosa, mouth and lips mucosa and other parts of the skin.

Metronidazole gel and 15% azelaic acid can be applied separately in the morning and evening of the same day, or metronidazole gel can be applied first, and then azelaic acid gel can be applied after 30 minutes, but it is not recommended to mix the application at the same time.
