There is no such thing as a “precursor to death in pulmonary fibrosis”. However, symptoms of advanced pulmonary fibrosis often include respiratory failure, circulatory failure (hemodynamic instability), and impaired consciousness. 1. Respiratory failure: mainly manifested in dyspnea, often feel respiratory effort. In severe cases, carbon dioxide retention may occur, causing deep breathing and peripheral capillary dilatation. In the later stage, symptoms of hypoxia such as skin cyanosis, tachycardia, irritability and confusion may appear. 2. Circulatory failure: mainly manifested in coughing, coughing up sputum, dyspnea, coughing up pink foamy sputum, sitting breathing. Right heart failure can appear limb edema, jugular vein rage. 3. Consciousness disorder: respiratory failure, circulatory failure, and liver and kidney failure can affect the brain’s consciousness, drowsiness, lethargy and even coma. Pulmonary fibrosis is a more serious disease and brings great pain to patients, need to actively seek medical treatment, scientific treatment, and strive for the best prognosis.
