In patients with swollen legs after sedentary activities, most of them are caused by venous reflux in the lower extremities. This is mainly caused by the insufficiency of the saphenous and femoral valves. In this case, first of all, we should avoid standing and sitting for a long time, we should pay attention to elevating the affected limb, we can take appropriate exercises such as biking, climbing and jogging, and we should also consider giving local massage to promote the blood return and reduce the symptoms of edema. In addition, for the lower limb edema caused by varicose veins, the lighter patients can consider the application of elastic stockings, but for the more serious patients also need to consider the surgical treatment, and the current surgical methods include the minimally invasive surgical methods and open surgical methods. Minimally invasive surgical procedures include endovenous laser occlusion and sclerotherapy injection, while open procedures include high saphenous vein ligation and stripping, and postoperative compression stockings should be applied. They should be applied both during the day and at night in the early stage up to 1 month, and after 1 month they should be applied during the day and can be removed at night.
