White spots on the skin of the feet may usually be due to post-inflammatory depigmentation. Most of these depigmentation spots are due to local infection or other causes, such as allergic factors that cause dermatitis to appear, and when the inflammation subsides, it may cause post-inflammatory depigmentation. Most of the loss can recover on its own and does not require any treatment. However, there are some white spots that may be the type of vitiligo, especially extremity vitiligo, which also appears on the skin of the feet, especially the dorsal part of the feet. In addition to vitiligo and post-inflammatory depigmentation patches, there are other types of white patches that result, such as fungal infections, especially lichen planus, which may appear as florid white patches after fading.
