Headaches and migraines may be caused by cervical spine strain?

Are you often troubled by headaches and dizziness? Do you occasionally have headaches or dizziness when you raise your head during computer games, Internet surfing, or writing? If the above symptoms occur, then please be alert, because your problem is likely to be caused by cervical spine strain. The most common cause of cervical spine lesions is osteophytes, especially the formation of bone spurs in the cervical joints, the latter often being the main cause of pressure on the cervical nerve roots and vertebral arteries. The vertebral artery is a pain-sensitive structure, and compression due to osteophytes results in inadequate blood supply to the vertebral artery, which in 20% of cases presents with a throbbing headache on one side that is indistinguishable from a migraine. Cervical migraine can be distinguished from general migraine by the following points: 1. The upper limbs on the headache side have cervicothoracic nerve root symptoms such as numbness, pain, weakness and difficulty in shoulder lifting, as well as brainstem sensory nerve irritation symptoms such as vertigo, sore throat or pharyngeal obstruction and tinnitus and pain in the ear on the headache side, and the symptoms disappear after the headache is relieved. 2.In addition to fatigue and cold, most of them are triggered by sudden neck rotation or forward flexion and backward tilt. 3. There are aura symptoms such as black haze and flashing dark spots on one side or one side mainly for 1 to 10 minutes. 4.The headache site is constant each time and mostly confined to the occipital area. 5.The subjective and objective symptoms of occipital neuritis on the headache side or both sides are present. 6.There are slight brainstem signs such as facial sensory disturbance on the side of headache, weakened corneal reflex or gag reflex, and there may be transient vertigo attack when turning the neck. If you are unfortunate enough to have the above mentioned problems, then acupuncture can help you solve your ailments.
