What tests should be done for urinary stones

  Urinary stones are one of the common diseases in urology with high recurrence rate. Patients with urinary stones cannot simply practice drug de-stoning or extracorporeal lithotripsy, but should be examined in detail and individualized treatment plan should be developed.  1. Imaging tests: ultrasound, urogram (KUB plain), intravenous urography (IVU), CT scan, retrograde or percutaneous nephrostomy, magnetic resonance water imaging (MRU), etc.  2. Laboratory tests: blood analysis, urinalysis, urine culture, stone composition analysis.
