Does bladder prolapse recover on its own?

The ability of bladder prolapse to recover on its own is related to the severity of the prolapse. Bladder prolapse is the prolapse of part or all of the bladder from the urethral orifice and is commonly caused by injury to the female genital system, urethral and vaginal injuries causing muscle fascia relaxation. Mild bladder prolapse can gradually recover on its own by increasing the muscle strength of the pelvic floor muscles through anal lifting and contraction movements. For severe bladder prolapse, patients may experience urinary incontinence and difficulty in urination, which is not well treated by exercise alone and may require surgery to suspend the bladder from the relatively fixed tissues in the pelvic cavity to fix the bladder with the strength of other tissues in the pelvis to change the performance of bladder prolapse and further improve the symptoms. Patients with bladder prolapse are advised to avoid factors that cause increased intra-abdominal pressure, such as coughing and constipation, while undergoing exercise therapy or surgical suspension treatment.
