When do the fetal testes descend

The fetal testes usually begin to descend in the third month of gestation. Usually by 9 months of gestation, the testes have descended into the scrotum. In most children, the testes have descended into the scrotum after birth. If the testes do not descend into the scrotum after birth, they may continue to descend. Usually, the testicle continues to descend for 6 months of life. If the testicle does not descend into the scrotum after 6 months of life, treatment with medication is needed to help the testicle descend as quickly as possible. If the testicle is still high after one week and has not fully entered the scrotum, surgery is required. This will prevent the testicles from being too high and having a negative impact on the development of the testicles.
