It is used for vasospastic diseases, such as arterial spasm of the extremities (i.e. Raynaud’s disease), cyanosis of the hands and feet, etc., infectious toxic shock, and diagnostic tests for pheochromocytoma. It is also effective for premature ventricular contractions. It is contraindicated in hypotension, severe atherosclerosis, angina pectoris, myocardial infarction, gastric and duodenal ulcers, and renal insufficiency.
