It has the effect of tonifying Qi and benefiting blood. It is used for deficiency of qi and blood, yellowish complexion (yellowish color without luster), and weakness of limbs. Gui Spleen Pill is composed of Radix Codonopsis Pilosulae, Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae, Radix Astragali Praeparatae, Radix et Rhizoma Glycyrrhizae Praeparatae and Poria Cocos. It has the effects of benefiting qi and strengthening the spleen (regulating the qi of the spleen and stomach), nourishing blood and tranquilizing the mind (stabilizing the mind and soothing the emotions by nourishing the blood). It is used for deficiency of the heart and spleen (weakness of the heart and spleen), shortness of breath and palpitation (rapid heartbeat, often accompanied by panic), insomnia and excessive dreaming, dizziness, tiredness and weakness of limbs, and loss of appetite. The composition of both Pat Chun Pill and Gui Spleen Pill have the same ingredients, which may easily lead to the risk of drug stacking, and are not recommended to be taken at the same time in principle.
