What is the condition of red urine

When urine is red, the first step is to determine whether it is hematuria or whether certain foods or medications that you have eaten are causing the red urine. A routine urine test can make the initial determination. If there are red cells in the urine routine, this is hematuria. Hematuria should be given full attention, and the first thing that must be done is to rule out the possibility of urinary tract tumors. An ultrasound examination of the kidneys, ureter and bladder can make a preliminary judgment, and ultrasound can also detect the presence of stone urine. If there is blood in the urine, the biggest possibility is urinary tract infection or possibly urinary tract tuberculosis. If there are no red cells in the urine, it may be caused by certain medications or certain foods eaten, such as dragon fruit which can also cause red urine, and some medications such as rhubarb and rifampin which can also cause red urine.
