Dry, flaky eyelids may be a sign of seborrheic dermatitis in that area. Most of these symptoms are due to seborrheic dermatitis in the head and face area, which spreads to the eyelid area. The patient may experience localized erythema with some degree of dryness and flaking. In addition to seborrheic dermatitis, it is also possible that chronic allergic dermatitis has repeatedly failed to heal, resulting in localized keratosis in the area and therefore localized dry skin with flaking reactions. For this situation, the patient needs to promptly administer antihistamine medication, and topical application of mucopolysaccharide polysulfate cream or urea cream can be applied topically.
