Is there a link between epididymitis and varicocele?

Epididymitis and varicocele are two different diseases and no association has been found between the two.
Epididymitis is an infectious inflammation of the epididymis, which can be categorized into acute and chronic according to the course of the disease. Acute epididymitis is mostly secondary to other inflammatory diseases of the genitourinary system, such as cystitis, prostatitis, seminal vesiculitis and so on. Chronic epididymitis is mostly formed by incomplete treatment of acute inflammation. However, both acute and chronic epididymitis are the result of pathogen infection.
Varicocele refers to the abnormal tortuous expansion of the veins in the spermatic cord, which can be divided into primary and secondary. Primary varicocele is caused by congenital insufficiency of the valves within the veins or weakness of the walls of the veins, while secondary varicocele is seen in various causes of obstruction of the venous return of the spermatic cord, such as tumor compression, thrombosis of the inferior vena cava or deep veins, and so on.
The causes and pathogenesis of epididymitis and varicocele are different, and no correlation has been found between the two, so when discomfort occurs, it is necessary to actively diagnose and treat the disease.
