How to close the fossa of a child’s teeth

Fissure sealing of children’s teeth is to apply sealant on the biting jaw surface of children’s deep fissures to prevent dental caries.
Children with deep fissures on the jaws of their baby teeth can choose fissure sealing for prevention in order to avoid caries in case of poor oral hygiene. The sealing material is a layer of polymer resin, which is transparent, odorless and does not cause any harm to the human body.
The surface of the teeth with deep fossa is cleaned, the surface of the teeth is blown dry, acid etching is done for 30~60 seconds, rinsed and blown dry, separated from the humidity, bonding agent is applied, light is shone for 20 seconds, fossa sealer is applied, air bubbles are eliminated, and light is shone for 20 seconds for curing. After curing, check the edges for overhangs and finally adjust the jaws for polishing.
After fossa sealing, regular follow-ups are required to check the sealing material for any breakage or caries production.
