An asymptomatic infected person with novel coronavirus pneumonia is one in whom the patient’s own nucleic acid test results are positive, but there are no actual clinical manifestations.
There are two types of asymptomatic patients with novel coronavirus pneumonia.
One is that the nucleic acid test is positive and there is no clinical manifestation during the medical observation period. This group of patients may turn negative on nucleic acid testing during the observation period and have no clinical symptoms from start to finish.
The second is a patient who tests positive for nucleic acids, but has no clinical symptoms, possibly because the patient is currently in the incubation period. If symptoms associated with new coronavirus pneumonia develop later in the medical observation period, this patient will initially be classified as asymptomatic, and will be reclassified at the time of subsequent clinical manifestations.
Regardless of the cause of the positive nucleic acid test, it is necessary to carry out centralized observation under the arrangement of the local epidemic prevention department.
