Blurred fracture lines should not be used as the only criterion when removing internal fixation. The main criterion for removal of internal fixation is healing of the fracture with good functional recovery. Criteria for fracture healing include (1) no pain when the fracture is pressed or tapped. No restriction of movement and no abnormal activity. (iii) The fracture is visible on X-ray and there is a blurring of the fracture and the formation of a scab. â‘£After removing the support, the upper limb can load 1 kg for 1 minute or the lower limb cannot walk on crutches for 3 minutes. The criteria for removal of internal fixation should be evaluated with regard to the patient’s age, the specific site of internal fixation, the duration and mode of internal fixation, and whether or not the fracture has achieved bony healing. If there is any discomfort, it is recommended to consult a doctor in time, under the guidance of a professional doctor to identify the cause of the disease and carry out targeted treatment.
