Yangxi is an acupoint of the Hand Yangming Large Intestine Meridian. Yangxi is located on the wrist, on the radial side of the dorsal transverse line of the wrist, between the tendon of the short extensor tendon and the tendon of the long extensor tendon, in the anatomical depression known as the “snuff fossa”.
Yangxi acupoint can be used to treat headache, eye redness and swelling pain, sore throat, toothache, deafness, tinnitus and other head and face disorders, as well as wrist pain, finger constriction (due to wind-cold and body spasms, convulsions) and so on.
Gray hair is mostly caused by liver and kidney deficiency, yin and blood insufficiency, hair loss of moistening and become, the treatment should be nourishing the liver and kidney, benefiting qi and nourishing blood. The effects of Yang Xi point are to clear heat and disperse wind, and to relieve tendons and joints. Therefore, the Yangxi point cannot be used to treat gray hair.
