How long does it take to get blood results?

The time to get the results of routine blood tests may vary from hospital to hospital, and the results can be obtained in about 10-15 minutes in the fastest cases. In most cases, the results can be obtained about 1-2 hours after the examination is completed. Routine blood test is a common clinical blood test, which mainly examines the three major systems in the blood, including the red blood cell system, the white blood cell system and the platelet condition. Elevated white blood cells and neutrophils indicate inflammation in the body. Decreased red blood cells and hemoglobin are indicative of anemia. In the case of emergency patients, the test will include only routine blood work, and the results will be available within 10-15 minutes of the blood draw. For non-emergency patients, if the test includes other tests, such as blood glucose, lipids, liver function, kidney function, blood biochemistry, etc., the results are usually available around 11:00 on the same day. Blood routine is an important test for basic pathology, and clinical practice often relies on the results of blood routine tests to aid in diagnosis and selection of appropriate treatment plans.
