How to recognize the type of cough

Types of coughs can be identified by their nature, timing and regularity, and tone. 1. Nature (1) dry cough: refers to cough without sputum or sputum amount is very small, common in acute or chronic pharyngolaryngitis, acute bronchitis and so on. (2) Wet cough: cough with sputum is called wet cough, commonly found in chronic bronchitis. 2. (2) Cock-like cough: that is, continuous paroxysmal cough with high-pitched inspiratory echoes, mostly seen in whooping cough. (3) Metallic cough: mostly caused by mediastinal tumor compression of the trachea. (4) Cough with low and weak voice: mostly seen in severe emphysema.
