Symptoms of fire include irritability, thirst, sore throat, bad breath, yellow urine and constipation. According to Chinese medicine, “fire” can be divided into real heat and imaginary heat according to the situation. 1. Actual heat syndrome: according to the different viscera, there can be heart fire inflammation, stomach fire, liver fire inflammation. Patients with heart fire inflammation have symptoms of heartburn, insomnia, and mouth and tongue sores; those with stomach fire hyperactivity have symptoms of bad breath, bleeding gums, and easy to eat and starve; patients with liver fire inflammation can have symptoms of red and swollen eyes, irritability, and pain in the ribs and abdomen. 2. Deficiency-Heat Symptoms: Deficiency-Heat Symptoms are mostly related to deficiency of liver and kidney yin (insufficient yin in the liver and kidney) and inflammation of deficiency-fire. Symptoms include deafness and tinnitus, lumbar and knee pain and weakness (a feeling of soreness and weakness in the lumbar and knee regions), and heartburn and heat (heat in the palms and feet, and a feeling of heart and chest pain and heat).
