In recent years, with the development of interventional techniques and surgical instruments, interventional medicine has become the third largest discipline alongside medical and surgical departments. Vascular interventional techniques are very common interventional techniques in interventional medicine. There are many types of interventional procedures and the recovery period varies, generally the recovery period of interventional procedures is about 3-10 days. Interventional procedures have the advantages of small trauma, simple operation, and accurate interventional site. However, compared to other interventional procedures, the recovery time for vascular interventional procedures is relatively long, sometimes even taking a month or more. There are two types of vascular interventional procedures, one is vasodilation and the other is vascular embolization. The details are as follows: 1) vasodilation is the implantation of stents in the lumen of blood vessels; 2) vascular embolization is the injection of embolic materials or chemotherapeutic drugs into blood vessels, so the recovery time is much longer compared to that of general interventional procedures. Patients can be discharged soon after vascular intervention if there are no complications, but depending on the disease, different medications are required for adjuvant treatment after discharge. After the vascular intervention, patients should pay attention to a light, highly nutritious and easily digestible diet.
