Is it cancer if your nose smells rotten?

Nose smells putrid odor is not necessarily cancer, atrophic rhinitis, sinusitis, nasal foreign body and so on can appear this symptom.
1. Atrophic rhinitis: atrophy of nasal mucosa, periosteum and turbinate, loss of normal physiological function of nasal mucosa, and formation of dry crusts in the nose. The patient has poor ventilation, self-induced nasal congestion, foul smell in the nose, and pus crusts. The examination shows that the nasal mucosa is dry and atrophic, the inferior turbinate is narrowed to make the nasal cavity wide, and there are a lot of gray-green dirty scabs in the nose with foul smell.
2. Sinusitis: the main manifestations are pain in the forehead, nasal congestion, greenish-yellow pus flow with foul odor, olfactory impairment, or accompanied by cold, fever, loss of appetite, and so on.
3. Nasal cavity malignant tumor: nasal symptoms with bloody snot, nasal congestion as the prominent symptoms of nasal malignant tumor. Nasal tumor infection and necrosis will have foul smell.
4. Nasal foreign body: for children with unilateral pus flow with a long history of malodor, should first be considered as nasal foreign body, foreign body retained for a long time, can stimulate the mucous membrane to form granulation, and even granulation wrapped around the foreign body, resulting in increased bleeding in the nasal cavity, the secretion of malodor, not easy to see the foreign body.
