Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) is a condition in which the ovaries are polycystic due to endocrine disorders in the body. Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a relatively common clinical reproductive endocrine metabolic disease, which causes irregular menstruation, infertility, hirsuteness, acne, obesity, and polycystic changes of the ovaries in women of childbearing age due to endocrine disorders in the body, such as elevated androgen levels, hyperinsulinemia, and so on. The diagnostic criteria are: sparse ovulation or anovulation; clinical manifestations of hyperandrogenism and/or hyperandrogenemia; and ultrasound manifestation of polycystic ovaries. Two of the above three are met and other conditions such as congenital adrenocortical hyperplasia, Cushing’s syndrome, and androgen-secreting tumors are excluded. Patients with polycystic ovary syndrome are advised to formulate individualized treatment plans under the guidance of their doctors to achieve the goals of relieving symptoms, solving the problem of fertility, maintaining health and improving the quality of life.
